My love for cooking began at a young age with my mother, Audrey. She taught me the basics of cooking. I remember helping her stir and mix at the counter while standing on a chair.
In my teenage years, my grandmother Veda and Aunt Etheline introduced me to the flavors of my father’s homeland, Jamaica. They taught me how to use my hands. Tasting, smelling and choosing fresh ingredients from the outdoor markets solidified my foundation and my enthusiasm for cooking food continued to grow. Each of these influential women taught me how to cook with love and passion while having fun.
My passion for cooking and love of creating simple, delicious meals led me to the Culinary Business Academy where I graduated in 2005. I’m also a Certified Personal Chef and a Premier Member of the United States Personal Chef Association. In addition, I am a Certified Food Safety Manager through the National Registry Of Food Professionals.
I founded Irie Delight’s Personal Chef Service in 2005 and have loved every minute of it.
Food brings people together and I love to cook for my family and friends. I look forward to having the opportunity to cook for you!
